I have a card to send out in thank yous to those who have supported financially but just wanted to post those prayers on here for everyone to see! Aussies can tend to think very low of Americans in fact they have given us Americans a nickname. They call us sepos, which is short for septic tanks because just like septic tanks americans are full of crap. So just be in prayer for us that we will be able to have successful relations with the Aussies.
Please pray:
-Servant hearted- That we will be quick to serve Aussie believers and non-believers- Mark 10:45
-Evangelism- That God will bless us with many relationships and open doors for the gospel- Col. 4:3
-Passion- We would gain a deeper sense of awe and passion for Christ as we pursue intimacy with Him- Psalms 27:4
-Others-centered- Our team would be others-centered and unified in the Spirit- Philippians 2:3-4
-Security- That we will grow in our grasp of our position in Christ and find security in Him when facing rejection- Galatians 1:10

Well as my last post said we were going straight to Sydney we are in fact going to Brisbane first then down to Sydney. It is still the cheaper flight as well so that is a blessing! Another blessing is that support is going along great as I am at $4100 with a month til we leave. Its been so great watching God provide and I can not wait to get over there and see what God has in store for us this summer. Please continue to pray that the last third of the 6000 comes in and for others on my team as I know a few are in the 4000s as well. Thanks to all of those who are supporting me both financially and even more importantly spiritually! I will have a more detailed post a little closer to departure!

Getting Closer

Its been awhile since I have given an update on here. Well we are just over a month away from getting on the plane to head to Sydney. We have had a few changes but some great things the Lord has provided. For starters my team will be flying straight to Sydney instead of Brisbane first. This will give us more time to be on the campuses there. Also the Lord provided us cheaper flights so that is a blessing as it will give more money to go towards our mission while we are there. Also for housing we were a little unsure of where we were going to be staying. My team leader Matt White and Area Director Brian Philips went over to Australia 2 weeks back to try and secure a place to stay. They had several options and again the Lord provided as they were able to secure the number 1 choice! So I see that the Lord has already provided so much and we have not even left yet! Still my team is raising funds and our short of our goal. I am currently just a little over halfway there. I am trying to stay confident that the Lord will provide as He always does. I know other members of my team and the other teams are also still trying to reach the individual goal. So please pray that the Lord will provide! I am getting more and more excited as the time approaches but I ask for continual prayer from now until my team's return. I plan on keeping this blog updated more regularly!
